Commission a Painting

Whether it’s a place you remember, a moment with someone you love, a piece of home, or simply an idea you’ve carried with you, I create original paintings that turn personal stories into art meant to live with you for years to come.

Each commission is created by hand in my signature style using acrylic on canvas, rich color, expressive brushwork, and layers of heavy texture. Rather than recreating a photograph exactly, I interpret your story through color, texture, light, and feeling; somewhere between memory and reality.

You don’t need to know exactly what the finished painting should look like. A photograph, a memory, a story, a feeling or just an idea is enough for us to begin.

The finished piece will be personal to you while still carrying the recognizable character of my work.

Please explore my work before commissioning to make sure my artistic style feels right for your vision.

FAQs

Pricing
Commissions begin at $1000. Final pricing depends on the size, number of subjects, composition, level of detail, and complexity of the painting. Commissioned work requires dedicated time away from my current studio practice and ongoing collections to create something uniquely for you. Pricing reflects not only the finished artwork, but the time, care, and creative attention given to bringing your story to life.

A 50% non-refundable deposit reserves your commission and allows me to begin creating your piece. The remaining balance is due upon completion, before the artwork is shipped or delivered.

.How long does a commission take?
Completion time varies depending on the size and complexity of the piece as well as my current commission schedule. You’ll receive an estimated timeline before your commission is confirmed. Throughout the process, I may share progress images so that we can make sure the piece continues to feel connected to the story we're creating

Do you accept rush commissions?
If you need the artwork by a particular date, please include that in your inquiry. I’ll let you know whether the timeline can be accommodated. A rush fee may apply.

Can you work from photographs?
Yes. Reference photographs are welcome and are often the starting point for a commission. Clear photographs are helpful, but they don't necessarily have to capture the exact composition of the final painting.

Can you combine several photographs into one painting?
Yes. I can often bring together people, places, objects, or details from multiple reference photographs to create one cohesive scene.

Can you paint a memory even if I don't have the perfect photograph?
Absolutely. This is actually something I love about commissions. Tell me what you remember the setting, colors, people, atmosphere, little details and we can explore how to translate that memory into a painting.

Will my painting look exactly like the photograph?
Your reference photographs are a starting point rather than something I simply reproduce. The final artwork will be interpreted through my painting style, color, composition, and artistic perspective.

Will you share my commissioned painting online?
I reserve the right to photograph and share commissioned artwork as part of my portfolio, website, exhibitions, and social media. If your commission is a surprise or gift, just let me know and I can wait until after it has been given before sharing it publicly.
